I got to thinking about this and did some research... There seems to be some truth to it helping.
Many practitioners believe acupuncture can improve egg mobility and enhance blood flow to the uterus. It can also help ease stress; in fact a survey in the journal Fertility and Sterility found that 85 percent of patients felt more relaxed after a treatment. That alone may boost fertility, since research suggests that being under pressure may interfere with the production of important ovulation hormones and cause irregular ovulation.
When it comes to scientific evidence, things are less clear. Although some studies show acupuncture has a positive effect on fertility, others have found the practice doesn't help any more than a placebo. However, since it's safe, with rare side effects, it may be worth trying.
