When one decides to get pregnant it’s of utmost importance to take care of her health. It remains a top priority for her fertility. To assist one’s body achieving its’ highest fertility one may follow the following steps: -
1) Try to have 400 micrograms (or 0.4 mg) of folic acid daily. One should keep her Focus steady on having foods full of folic acid. If this turns out unfeasible then one can also opt for a multivitamin or a folic acid pill to get the required daily dose. Consuming a folic acid is the best way to be certain that one is getting enough. Inclusion of 0.4 mg of folic acid (or folate) in one’s diet before one gets pregnant and in the first three months of pregnancy as well, can assist in preventing birth defects. If you don't get enough folic acid, your baby's spine may not form correctly. This is known as spina bifida.
One’s baby too requires folic acid to develop a healthy brain. There are doctors who will recommend a multi–vitamin which consists of folic acid. However, the better thing to do the procedure is to buy folic acid pills at drug stores or supermarkets. Foods that are full of folate include: - a) leafy green vegetables, b) kidney beans, c) orange juice and other citrus fruits, d) peanuts, e) broccoli, f) asparagus, g) peas, h) lentils, and 9) whole-grain products. Folic acid sometimes is appended to foods such as enhanced breads, pastas, rice and cereals. It always remains a better idea for one in finding out more about folic acid.
2) One should be more aware of what one eats. One should initiate the effort of loading the diet with fruits, vegetables and whole-grains such as whole-wheat breads or crackers. One must be sure to eat calcium–rich foods in abundance. These include non–fat or low–fat yogurt, milk and broccoli. The baby too, requires plenty of calcium for strong bones and teeth. If fruits and vegetables aren't in season then frozen vegetables too represent a good alternative. One should avoid consuming plenty of fatty foods such as butter and fatty meats. Going for non–fatty foods when one can such as skim milk, chicken and turkey with no skin and fish, would always be better.
