Special role of fertility drugs in infertility treatment.

Infertility causes among other numerous reasons due to insufficient number of eggs, as well in women. While offering solution every infertility treatment tries to increase the number of the eggs.

The three aims that every infertility treatment follows are:-

1)      Increasing the number of eggs necessary for the process of fertilization.

2)      Increasing the number of sperm for reaching the eggs.

3)      Decreasing the distance that a sperm have to pass.

For serving these three aims fertility drugs remain the bets option for every infertility treatment. These drugs are used with or without the assistance of artificial insemination. This remains the first step.

As per the records available from various infertility diagnoses, up to ninety percent of infertile couples get treated in such procedure. In maximum infertility diagnoses fertility drugs are used to either adjust precise hormonal imbalances. This in other words may be described as the enhancement of the normal physiologic process or super-ovulation.

There are two broad categories in which fertility drugs could be divided. These are:-

1) Oral and 2 ) Injectable. Both the forms are used for stimulating production of the egg.

According infertility treatments, there are quite a few fertility drug treatments. Most important of them is known as Clomid.

Clomiphene citrate, also known as Clomid or Serophene[R]: - This is used as an oral  medicine. The medicine is inexpensive and easy to use. Clomid acts by developing the usual signal which leads to the production of eggs. Clomid causes an ovulatory disturbance for women. In eighty percent of women Clomid remains successful in getting induction in ovulation.

After getting their ovulatory function restored by Clomid approximately forty percent may have a chance of getting pregnant. The couples who are undergoing Clomid – induced super - ovulation in addition of conjunction with artificial insemination can always be expectant of 5 to 10 percent chance of pregnancy per cycle.

The scene however, alters drastically when someone undergoes Clomid – induced superovulation without the assistance artificial insemination. In these cases, little if any benefit is observed as it is shown by numerous records from various infertility treatments.
